catalytic activity:Octanoyl-[acyl-carrier-protein] + protein = protein N(6)-(octanoyl)lysine + [acyl-carrier-protein].,function:Catalyzes the transfer of endogenously produced octanoic acid from octanoyl-acyl-carrier-protein onto the lipoyl domains of lipoate-dependent enzymes.
